Cyberbu//y Movie

Much like we talked about in class, cyberbullying leads to depression and thoughts of suicide to the victim. We also learned that people, even your closest friend, could make a fake account and cause you to be depressed and such. This all happened to Taylor, the main character and her closest friend Sam. Many of the things we talked about in class were covered in the movie, however their was one main difference. Taylor and all her friends had stood up to the cyberbully in the movie, sadly this rarely happens in real life and the victim usually does or almost does something to harm their own life. This case was also incredibly similar to cases we talked about in class, with the exception that Taylor tried to kill herself while others in the cases usually did. Ultimately, I think the movie covered the topic of cyberbullying very well.

Comparing for Audio and Avatar

Personally, I think that the Voki site was easier to record with, but the Blabberize site was easier to use for uploading and fixing a picture. I would use the Voki site again because it easier to create an avatar then to find a topic/script for a historical figure to read. I think a way that you could use Blabberize for is to use it for a project that is all about a historical figure. That is what I think about these two audio facts.

Online Safety-Reflections

I think the most important thing to remember when using the Internet is to never share your personal information with anybody you don't know. If you do, then this will allow for people to find you (cyber predators) and it allows for people to take your identity and use your credit card and even do crimes as you. You should always look out for people who are looking to desperately know you when you've never even heard of them. You should never give pictures of yourself if a stranger asks. You protect yourself by not talking or interacting with people you don't know. Also, you should always practice netiquette because the person your talking to is a human after all. Always remember to be safe online.

Internet Safety

Teresa gave out her full name, interests, family members, phone number,e-mail address, when she gets home, what schools are closest to her home, and where she lives were all given out.Yes I have put personal info on the internet. I've put up my full name, school, and pictures of myself on Facebook.I belive the most important thing about online safety is to keep yourself protected from others, because people may not be who they claim to be.
